Samara Healing & Awakening

In February 2020, Samara suddenly lost her vision due to an autoimmune response triggered by unprocessed trauma. This event sparked a profound spiritual awakening, prompting her to leave a misaligned job and relationship and confront years of trauma, including deep wounds from childhood and an abusive college relationship, which led to a CPTSD diagnosis, eating disorders, addiction, anxiety, depression, and disconnection from her body and soul. Within a week, she founded her first business, "Shelby Sweats," where her love of supporting women began.

Over the next five years, Samara embarked on a healing journey, practicing many modalities and transitioning from personal training to spiritual and trauma healing. In 2021, she moved to Sedona, deepening her practice through daily devotion and inner work.

One of her spiritual gifts is transformation and transmutation. Clients often report that a few months of working with her brings more healing than years of therapy. Samara provides a grounded, open, and clear support field, particularly for those spiritually oriented or on the Spiritual Path, especially women who have experienced sexual trauma.

Her work assists others in embodying their bodymind + direct experience, purifying and healing the nervous system, and developing spiritual and intuitive gifts. She works with the many modalities that transformed her own life— embodiment work, relational healing containers, women's work, expanded state work, meditation, somatic release breathwork, Reiki + energy work, hands-on healing, and somatics.

While she doesn't associate with any specific lineage, she has been deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhism and the Goddesses of the Hindu pantheon, particularly Durga and Kali Ma. Now based in a quiet corner of Connecticut, you can find Samara living a devotional spiritual life surrounded by close kin and working intimately with clients throughout the East Coast and beyond.
